Voodoo Tiki

I was trawling eBay looking for that special something vaguely tagged as Tiki and could find nothing except plastic tat. Bar a couple of retailers, the UK is mostly devoid of Tiki culture so I made this myself. The research and development was quite lengthy and there are more discarded than I have left but this is the final draft- what I've come to call The Voodoo Tiki Carved Resin Woodblock Monkey Glow Skull. As suggested in the name this little beauty glows in the dark! Mental! If you want one lets haggle a price cos I have no idea what they are worth what with their magical protective powers and all.

Beware of forgeries, fakes and copyright theft. They shall be forever curse'd and despise'd.

Dr Funk

Not a fat German record producer or Princes keyboard player but a subtle blend of Pernod and light rum- very pleasing.

Head

For all you tiki-heads out there, here is the latest addition to my bar-ware... A shrunken head bottle bought on eBay, sculpted by a man in Glasgow by the name of Garnet. Superbly made, it fills a nice gap if you need something a bit larger than a hip-flask. Collecting tiki stuff is completely different from collecting ceramic animals- those people are crazy.

Tiki

Johnny the Wasp came round with a Tiki he specially carved for me. It's based on my own design, includes elements of Von Franko and the rest was left to his artistic devices. I love it. I'm going to seal it to better survive in our northern latitude and find a quiet corner in the back garden for it to watch over. I think he's going to have quite an industry on his hands once it gets out he carves tikis to order.

Tiki interlude

Tiki mask for the front of my tiki bar. The original design started out as a sugar skull with a card suit theme and slowly morphed into a music theme til it changed from a skull into a tiki after it took on a life of it's own. It was only after I had it rendered in ink in my flesh that I remade it in MDF.

I got my mojo working...

... Hanging on the rear view mirror of the van. Work is progressing albeit slowly. Hell of a lot to get done and my welcome has nearly expired up at the college so I'm going to try rush it through an mot so it can rot outside my house instead of up there. I got some good mojo tiki in my van so that should help.

My precious

So precious I dare not use it, this objects function is made obsolete by it's value. But what value does it have if i am not brave enough to use it for the purpose it was intended and take the chance it could damage in so doing. Surely the joy of such an item is not just in its posession but in its use. Be brave, my boy, and fill it full of hooch so you may enjoy the object in its entirety.
