Stark

A surprise was waiting at my local session. Jamie was already a talented guitarist before he left for music college. His homecoming saw him laying down a surprise gig for us for bed and board before heading back to Brighton. They play a nice mix of folk and blues without trying to sound like Led Zep and create some superb rocking grooves. I will be getting them to play a gig up here next time they pass.

A Cross of Iron

Genesis Croix De Fer, my new toy. A bit of road, a bit of trail, a whole load of fun.

Skinny Chicks

I can't go cos I'll be bedding down in a brown paper bag, on a mountain, in a ditch, in the rain, if I don't get airlifted because of hypothermia first- should be fun.

But you should go.

I bet there'll be skinny chicks smoking cigarettes. Nice.

As I stepped out...

... this morning with my hobo pack on my back I nearly kept going. Nice idea but reality dragged me back home. I've certainly got the itch to 'throw my feet'.

Marcus (reprise)

If you're one of those cats that says "oh yeah, I got his first album" once a dude gets famous then I suggest you look up Marcus Bonfanti now so you can say "oh yeah, I got his first album" and it'll actually be true. But you'd better get moving cos he's already got about 3 albums out now. Great blues man, reminds me why I love music.

Coffee

I'm really into drinking coffee at the moment. Strong coffee and plenty of it. I've been off tobacco for a while and I still crave a big fat cigar once I can smell the coffee pot perculating. I've not given up, I've just cut down. Dunno why. I could just go in my stash and pick out a stogie and chill in the shed of earthly delights while drinking coffee but for some reason I won't. I'll stick to the coffee and watching French police drama. Puzzling.
