Gator Grip

This little beauty has got me out of a pinch again. I bought it some time in the 80s at the London Motorcycle show and I'll be damned if it doesn't do exactly what the demonstrator claimed. This time I was being defeated by exhaust clamp bolts. After years of hot/cold, wet/dry, tighten/loosen the bolts finally got to a point where they were rounding before releasing. This Gator Grip just grips what's left and holds it very firmly. Excellent piece of kit.

And, no- of course I didn't put the old ones back on, they were way too far gone this time.

... because Rocket Monkeybike doesn't sound as good. There's all kinds of questions you ask yourself about this kind of thing until you hear it fire up. After that the only question is 'how does he stop?'

Scrambled

I can't believe its taken me over ten years to finally get to this event. Lots of barking mad older gents razzing their classic bikes around a hilly field. A constant thunder of single and twin engines and the smell of cut grass and Castrol R.

Choppers

Very cool until you look at them closely and notice the 'improvements' over the originals. In their upgrading they've lost a little charm and a little soul. Cool to look at but I wouldn't own one.
